Barlaston First school is a small school just outside Stone, near Stafford. We are a church school and are always looking for new ways to develop our Christian distinctiveness and links with St Johns Church in Barlaston. Our ethos is taken from the book of Matthew “Let Your Light Shine”. Our pupils certainly have done this by designing to scale, their own stained glass windows that are displayed in the school entrance. The windows focus on our ethos and include images of doves and candles. The windows were made by Mrs Joanne Cuffley, the stained glass artist from Amerton Farm, who came into school to run a workshop for our pupils. The project was funded partly by school, and from a kind donation from NADFAS given by one of the school governors, to develop art in school. We are all very proud of the work and its meaning to our school
