The Parish Church of St John the Baptist welcomes our new Child & Family Support Worker Lynn has witten the following to introduce herself I would like to introduce myself: my name is Lynn Jones and I have started to work alongside the wonderful team at the Parish Church as Child and Family Support Worker. I have worked for the past twenty six years in caring, stimulating, educating, and supporting families across Stoke-on-Trent and I am hoping to continue this work here within the beautiful village of Barlaston. I am joining children and their families at the Tots' Church on Tuesdays at 2.15pm and starting to develop relationships within Church, Junior Choir and Kids' Church as they meet on the first and second Sunday of each month. There is a Christian group which runs at Barlaston First School for children from years two to four on Tuesday lunch time (Sunshine Group), led by Consuelo Johnson from the Methodist Church. This is a lovely opportunity for me to meet the young children and build friendships in the community. As the new role started on 1st November, I would like to thank members of the church and community for making me feel so welcome. I am looking forward to meeting many more families and offering my support in any way that I can. If anyone has an idea of how I can do this, either setting up new groups, or helping to support individual families, I would appreciate it if you could contact me on the church office number 01782 373126 or Iynnjones60@hotmaii.co.uk.
