A short history of the churches Bells

In 1620 one Bell rang to call worshippers to Barlaston Church.

In 1638 two Bells rendered this service.

A third Bell was added in 1695 and for the next 181 years this trinity of sound called the villagers to prayer and worship.

The Bells were recast and rehung in 1876, when a fourth and a tenor Bell were added.

The Bells were all rehung and one recast in 1933.

Five Bells still remain today (1938).

The Pictures below shows the full history of the casting and recasting of the bells that now number Six
